Which logo yields the best results on my cycling clothing?
You’re probably wondering how the process of printing logos on custom cycling clothing works. There are also many types of logos and file formats out there. You’ve probably heard of .eps, .ai, .pdf, and so on. Some are more usable than others. Which file type is suitable? In this blog, you’ll learn everything about how to create cycling clothing with your own logo. Trust us, your logo on custom cycling clothing will be great.
Why is the file type important?
When it comes to creating cycling clothing with your own logo, there are several printing techniques available. For sports apparel, sublimation is the preferred technique. Sublimation is a printing method where the ink essentially bonds with the polyester fiber, allowing for high-quality logo printing on clothing. It’s crucial that the logo file’s quality is high enough, and this technique can only be used on polyester clothing. Printing on a cotton t-shirt or hoodie using sublimation simply won’t work.
Which file formats work best?
As you know, logos can exist in multiple file formats. The rule is quite simple: the higher the quality of the logo, the better the result on the clothing.
Therefore, it’s wise to see if you can obtain the source file. This is often the file format of the program in which the logo was created. Typically, this will be a .ai file originating from Adobe Illustrator.
These are the source file formats that yield super sharp results on clothing:
.ai (Adobe Illustrator file)
.eps (Adobe Illustrator file)
.svg (Adobe Photoshop file)
.eps (Adobe Photoshop file)
Why is a source file important?
In these file types, you can zoom in as much as you want without the image becoming blurry. Also, we can easily adjust the color of a logo in a source file. Additionally, we can change the dimensions of the logo without losing quality.

What is the correct size for a logo on custom cycling clothing?
That’s not necessarily a problem. Often, the designer of your logo has access to the original file. The easiest way is to ask your designer to send you the logo. If this isn’t an option, we have another solution. We often deal with .jpg or .png logos, and we usually find a way around it. However, it does take more time before you receive your custom cycling clothing.
For simple logos, we can “trace” your logo in Adobe Illustrator. This allows us to convert the file into an editable format with just a click. If you choose to have your clothing made by us, we’ll do this for you free of charge.
If you don’t have a logo yet, we’d be happy to create one for you! Unsure if your logo is suitable or want to have a logo designed for your clothing? Start designing your outfits here.
