Summer has begun, which means cycling season is here! It’s the time we all eagerly await, but we also need to be a bit cautious. Remember, you’re not the only one hitting the roads, so be mindful of the heat. Here are some tips to get yourself summer-ready:
Stay Hydrated and Fueled
It may seem obvious, but it’s often overlooked. Make sure to carry at least 2 water bottles during your rides, especially if you’re going out for more than 1.5 hours. Eating a bit while riding can also be wise. Your body needs extra fuel and hydration in warm weather, so keep replenishing it in small amounts. This helps maintain your body temperature and prevents bonking under the scorching sun.
Avoid Tourist Hotspots when cycling in summer
With electric cyclists, tourists, and day-trippers crowding the bike paths, it can get overwhelming. To avoid the chaos, steer clear of these areas. This way, everyone has space, and you can enjoy your ride peacefully. Villages and picturesque spots can be real trouble spots for you, so best to avoid them. Pick the Right Time
